Overview

Laws Railroad Museum and Historic Site offers visitors a glimpse into a simpler time in American History. Come for a chance to see original period buildings dating back to 1800’s (including an early post office, print shop, and fire station), antique cameras, and of course, historic locomotives.

From Mammoth Lakes, take US-395 S 40 miles to Bishop. The museum is located off Highway 6 on Silver Canyon Road.

Hours/Seasons

Hours are 10am to 4 pm. The museum operates year round.

More Info

The sites historic buildings house many original period artifacts including historic medical implements, a 1949 ambulance, and a Western Electric 11-Type telephone booth. A visitor favorite is the oil-fired steam engine Steam locomotive.
