On the far eastern side of Yosemite National Park, Mammoth Lakes is settled amidst towering mountains and many lakes. Mono Lake is super unique, but the many lakes closer to the mountains offer idyllic settings for hiking, camping, and water activities. Nearby Mammoth Mountain Ski Area is a great destination for avid skiers and boarders in the winter.
