Mammoth is located on the eastern edge of California's Sierra Nevada Mountain Range. State Highway 395 runs north and south along this same area and thus, acts as the main road that connects the rest of the world to Mammoth. From Reno, the area is just three hours drive time and from Orange County or the Los Angeles area, it is approximately a five-hour drive.
