Don't forget your camera when you pack for your vacation at Mammoth, California. The pleasure of the mountain scenery in this spectacular area of the Sierra Nevada will inspire you. Whether you are an amateur photographer or an expert, you will find fantastic subject matter just begging to have their picture taken.

From the top of Mammoth Mountain, at an altitude of 11,000 feet, you can capture the panoramic views of the mountains and valleys found spread out below you. Focus your camera on the rocky spires found to the west, and/or the beginnings of the San Joaquin River found to the east.

The scenery is awe-inspiring and if you are lucky, you may be able to snap a shot of that elusive deer, rabbit or squirrel. Wildflowers in bloom, streams meandering through the forests and stands of pines all are excellent subjects for photographers.
