Mammoth Mountain Ski Area

Mammoth skiing boasts over 3,500 acres of skiable terrain and more than 150 named trails. With a peak elevation of 11,053 feet, this is also the tallest ski resort in California. - Season

June Mountain is a great alternative to Mammoth for those seeking lighter crowds and a larger percentage of intermediate runs. The mountain boasts 35 named trails on 500 acres of terrain. - Season

June Mountain is located about 20 miles north of Mammoth Lakes. Take US-395 N about 14 miles to Highway 158 West\June Lakes Loop. Drive 4 miles to the ski area.
Tamarack Ski Center
- Overview
Tamarack Ski Center has 19 miles of groomed tracks for cross country skiing and snowshoeing. The paths wind around both the Twin Lakes and Mammoth Lakes Basins. - Season

Tamarack is located just outside of town off Lake Mary Road.
Snowboarding
Snowboarding is allowed at all area resorts.
Backcountry
Mammoth is home to mile after mile of pristine backcountry skiing. Favorite locations include the Sherwin Bowls and Duck Lake Pass.
Nordic Skiing
Mammoth Lakes is home to miles of groomed and backcountry Nordic skiing. If you’re looking to stay inbounds, head to Tamarack Lodge. To head out into the backcountry, check out one of the popular trails in the Inyo National Forest.

Rental Equipment is available from all the area ski resorts, as well as numerous shops in Mammoth Lakes.
