Details: The June Lake area covers some beautiful mountainous vistas such as Carson Peak. The area is dotted with several high altitude lakes. The course of the triathlon passes near the June Lake ski area and winds downward to June Lake Swim Beach.
The run takes participants along the lake. This is a high country triathlon, so wetsuits are necessary and thin air makes it one of the most demanding races. A beautiful setting and a challenging course makes the June Lake Triathlon a premier event.
June Lake is located just 30 miles south of Yosemite and 14 miles north of Mammoth Lakes near US Highway 395.
