Cerro Coso Community College

Established in 1973, the Cerro Coso Community College boasts five instructional sites that service an 18,000-square-mile area, tending to the education needs of more than 85,000 students. Serving the largest geographical area of any community college in the state of California, the Mammoth area's Cerro Coso Community College is a convenient and affordable way to earn a college education.

One of three colleges in the Kern Community College District, for more than 25 years, Cerro Coso Community College has been providing a 2-year college education for students who live in a four county area (Inyo, Mono, Kern, and San Bernardino) of eastern California. The college currently has five instructional sites - Bishop, Mammoth, Indian Wells Valley, Kern River Valley, and South Kern.

This California college offers both Associate of Arts and Associate of Sciences degrees in a variety of subjects including Fine Arts, Physical Education, Pre-Engineering, Humanities, Business, Computers, and Child Development. Cerro Coso also offers technical programs to help students learn a number of different trades, like welding and automotive repair. An education at Cerro Coso Community College can also include a number of co-curricular activities, including involvement in student government, athletics, and clubs.

For those who prefer a non-traditional college education, Cerro Coso also offers 9 Associate degrees that can be earned completely online and more than 100 distance learning classes per year.
